South American Parrot Conference 2008

The Long Island Parrot Society will host a South American Parrot Conference on Saturday, July 19th, at the American Legion Post #94, 22 Grove Place, Babylon NY.
(Our very own meeting hall!)

Sally Blanchard will headline the all-day event which will also feature presentations by Board certified avian veterinarians, Dr. Heidi Hoefer (shown left) and Dr. Robert Monaco (shown right), a presentation by Michael Schindlinger (below) 'Stalking the Wild Amazons,' trick training demo, raffles, vendors, silent auction and more!

Michael Schindlinger, who will do a presentation at the South American Parrot Conference, has studied Amazon parrots and their individual languages in the wild. He produced the documentary, Stalking the Wild Amazons. Visit www.freeparrots.net for sample parrot vocalizations.
